My name is Sarah Abdullah.  I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to parents that were Pentecostal. They raised their children to be Pentecostal; believing that Holy Spirit is the power of God who controls and guides us. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior at the age of fourteen.  I was baptized and received the gift of the Holy Spirit.

As a disciple (a dedicated follower of Jesus), my born-again spirit needed to know about the God who wants me to spend eternity with Him in heaven.  My born-again spirit needed to know about His Son, Jesus; whom God sent to shed His blood for me on a cross (tree).  My born-again spirit needed to know about the precious Holy Spirit of the living God, whom Jesus sent to earth to live in me during my appointed time here on earth.

In order for this to happen, my heart (mind), my spirit (soul), and my very being had to be taught the living Word of God.  It has now been over fifty years, and the Holy Bible continues to teach me about the God who created me, His commandments, and His doctrines for my life.  The Holy Bible continues to teach me about my Lord and Savior, Jesus.  The Holy Bible continues to teach me about God's precious Holy Spirit.

As it is written:
Proverbs 9:9
9 Instruct a wise man, and he will grow wiser; teach a righteous man, and he will add to his learning.

It has been and still is and will always be an honor and a privilege for me to be a disciple of my Lord and Savior, Jesus, the Son of the Almighty God.  Not only is Jesus the Lord of my life, He is also my heavenly intercessor.  

As it is written:
Romans 8:34
34 Who is he that condemns?  Christ Jesus, who died, more than that, who was raised to life, is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

I thank my Jesus that He sent Holy Spirit to earth to live in every born-again believer.  Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God made manifest.  It is an honor and a privilege for me to have Holy Spirit, living in me to teach me, to guide me, and to pray the will of God for me.  Holy Spirit is my earthly intercessor.  

As it is written:
Romans 8:27
27 And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.

To me having a teachable spirit is a willingness to learn about my God and the lifestyle He would have me to live while I live out my appointed time here on earth.  In doing so, my reward will be that of spending eternity with God the Father, His Son, Jesus, Holy Spirit, and the heavenly host for eternity.

I consider myself as one that has obtained a teachable spirit by believing what is written in the Holy Bible.  I am a hearer of God's Word, as well as a doer of God's Word to the best of my ability and with the guidance of Holy Spirit.

One of the things that Jesus told us to do was to be a witness.  So, when the door of opportunity was opened by way of the internet, I decided to be a witness on the internet as well. "Teachable Spirit" is my way of honoring and being a witness for my God, my precious heavenly Father.  It is my way of honoring and being a witness for my precious Lord and Savior, Jesus.  It is my way of honoring and being a witness about God's precious Holy Spirit, who is my teacher, and my earthly intercessor.  

I am not ashamed to be a witness for my Lord and Savior, Jesus.  My Jesus bore the cross, He suffered the pain and the shame so that I could be redeemed through His blood.  Not only did Jesus precious blood redeem me, but His precious blood also signed my name into the book of life.  For that I am eternally grateful.
  
As it is written:
Luke 9:26
26 Whoever is ashamed of Me and My Words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when He comes in His glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.

As it is written:
Luke 12:8-9
8 I tell you, whoever publicly acknowledges Me before others, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before the angels of God.
9 But whoever disowns Me before others will be disowned before the angels of God.

I am not ashamed of the good news (gospel) of my God and of my Lord and Savior, Jesus.  Because in the gospel the righteousness of my God is revealed by His Son, Jesus.  

As the Apostle Paul wrote to the believers that had established the church in Rome.  
Romans 1:16-17
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith.
