Alcohol

As it is written:
Proverbs 20:1

1 Wine is a mocker; strong drink is raging and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

Proverbs 23:31-33

31 Do not gaze at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it goes down smoothly. 
32 In the end it bites like a snake and poisons like a viper. 
33 Your eyes will see strange sights, and your mind will imagine confusing things.

34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unaware.

Anger

Anxiety

Adultery

Communion

Complaining

As it is written:

9 Do not complain, brethren, against one another, so that you yourselves may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing right at the door.


Death

When God created Adam and Eve, He created them with a "free-will." With their "free-will," they chose to disobey God and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  In doing so, God pronounced judgment on them.  

As it is written:
Genesis 3:19

19 In the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, till you return to the ground; for out of it you were taken: for dust you are, and unto dust you shall return.
  

King Solomon, the son of King David, wrote the book of Ecclesiastes.  In it he writes about our mortal bodies and our souls, which are spirits.

Ecclesiastes 12:7

7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.  

The Apostle Paul wrote in his letter to the believers in the church in Corinth...

As it is written:
1 Corinthians 15:53
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

In the book of Hebrews, the Apostle Paul makes known as to what he knows.

As it is written:
Hebrews 9:27
27 And it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.  

The Apostle John, while in prison on the isle of Patmos, wrote what will take place when we put on immortality.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 


Deception

As it is written:
Matthew 24:4
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, 
take heed that no man deceives you.

8 And he said, take heed that you be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draws near: go ye not therefore after them.

Depression

4 Delight yourself also in the Lord; and He shall give you the desires of your heart.

By believing and meditating on the scripture one will receive what one's heart desires.

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. 
7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

11 Why so downcast, my soul, why disquieted within me? Have hope in God; I will yet praise Him, my ever-present help, my God.


Discipleship

Fasting

Fear

4 And I say unto you my friends, be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. 
5 I will forewarn you whom you shall fear: Fear Him, which after He has killed has power to cast into hell; yes, I say unto you, fear Him.

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love cast [drives] out fear: because fear has torment.  He that fears is not made perfect in love.

Forgiveness

Giving

Humility

5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
