TEACHABLE SPIRIT
Knowing God Through His Word

GOD'S CALL TO HUMANITY

Let Me enlighten you and show you which way to go;
let Me counsel you; My eye is on you.
Psalm 32:8

And it is so, in the name of Jesus.

When God created Adam and Eve, they were created sinless and with a will to make choices.  Unfortunately, the time came when they made the wrong choice, and sinned against God.  They took on the sin nature and in doing so, they passed their sin nature on to the human race.

The following scriptures are God's living Words spoken through His prophets: Isaiah and Jeremiah.

God is reaching out to His creation to return back to Him.  God does not want anyone to perish because of sin.

GOD'S WORD TO THE HUMAN RACE

As it is written:
Isaiah 1:18-19

18 Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

19 If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land; but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.  For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

Note: "devoured by the sword," means that the Word of God will judge you.

As it is written:
Isaiah 26:3
3 You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.

As it is written:
Isaiah 30:18

18 Truly, God is waiting to show you grace.  Truly, He will arise to pardon you.  For God is a God of justice; happy are all who wait for Him.

As it is written:
Isaiah 40:28-31
28 Do you not know?  Have you not heard?  The Lord is God from of old, Creator of the earth from end to end He never grows faint or weary, His wisdom cannot be fathomed.

29 He gives strength to the weary, fresh vigor to the spent.

30 Youths may grow faint and weary, and young men stumble and fall:

31 But they who trust in God shall renew their strength as eagles grow new plumes: they shall run and not grow weary; they shall walk and not grow faint.

As it is written:
Isaiah 41:10

10 Do not fear, For I am with you, be not dismayed; for I am your God; I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.

As it is written:
Isaiah 41:13
13 For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, do not fear; I will help you.

As it is written:
Isaiah 43:25
25 I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions,

for My own sake and remembers your sins no more.

As it is written:
Isaiah 54:10
10 For the mountains may move and the hills be shaken, but My loyalty shall never move from you, nor the covenant of friendship be shaken, says the Lord, who takes you back in love.

As it is written:
Isaiah 54:13-14
13 And all your children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of your children.
14 In righteousness shall you be established: you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear: and from terror, for it shall not come near you.

As it is written:
Isaiah 54:17
17 No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment, you shall condemn.  This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of Me, says the Lord.

As it is written:

Isaiah 55:6-7
6 Seek the Lord while He can be found, call to Him while He is near.

7 Let the wicked give up his ways, the sinful man his plans; let him turn back to the Lord, and He will pardon him; to our God, for He freely forgives.

As it is written:
Isaiah 55:10-11
10 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the Sower and bread for the eater:

11 So shall My Word be that goes out from My mouth: it will not return to Me empty but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

As it is written:
Isaiah 59:21
21 And this shall be My covenant with them, saith the Lord: My Spirit which is upon you, and the Words which I have placed in your mouth, shall not be absent from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your children, nor from the mouth of your children's - children, says the Lord, from now on, and for all time.

As it is written:

Isaiah 65:1

1 I revealed Myself to those who did not ask for Me; I was found by those who did not seek Me. To a nation that did not call on My name, I said, here I Am, here I Am.

As it is written:
Isaiah 65:24
24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

As it is written:
Jeremiah 17:7
7 Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose trust is the Lord.

As it is written:
Jeremiah 29:11
11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

As it is written:
Jeremiah 32:38-40
38 They shall be My people, and I will be their God.
39 I will give them a single heart and a single nature to revere [respect] Me for all time, and it shall be well with them and their children after them.
40 And I will make an everlasting covenant with them that I will not turn away from them and that I will treat them graciously; and I will put into their hearts reverence for Me, so that they do not turn away from Me.
